Technoglow is a small family owned business that has been operated in Brisbane by Ray and Katie Large since starting in March 1996. Technoglow services the northern suburbs of Brisbane and north to Caboolture and Bribie island.
Previously owning a carpet and upholstery cleaning business and also with experience in the supply of cleaning chemicals and machinery, Ray and Katie started Technoglow to fill a demand for blind cleaning services that had previously been unmet. Technoglow is the longest running ultrasonic blind cleaning business in Queensland.

What is Ultrasonic Cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning is the most effective yet gentle way to clean blinds.
It works by pulsing high frequency sound into a water and detergent medium creating a cavitation effect. In laymen terms the ultrasound travels through the water like pressure waves, behind each wave there is a stretching effect that causes the water to vaporize. This causes millions of microscopic bubbles to form. The next pressure wave collapses the bubbles and it this microscopic movement of the water that does the cleaning. This happens 26,000 times per second.
Although all you can feel in the tank is a mild tingling sensation it is a surprisingly effective way of cleaning.

Why hand clean Timber blinds
When Timber blinds are made the ends and holes in the slats are not sealed, this along with sun damage to the finish on the blinds makes them prone to water marking. Hand cleaning using microfiber cloths dampened in a mild detergent mix is the most effective way to clean the blinds without marking them.

Child Safety Fittings
Due to the recent changes in government regulations regarding child safety and blind cords we have adopted the following policy.
When repairing existing blinds we will covert all blinds to either wand control or fit child safety hold downs. No blinds will be reinstalled with free hanging cord loops or tilt chains. Wherever possible we will convert the blinds to wand controls as this completely eliminates cords from the blinds. Environmental issues
We address the issue of environmental impact of our business by using only chemicals that biodegrade naturally leaving no harmful waste. All of our waste water is used on our gardens and after 20 years our gardens are thriving and no adverse effects have been seen in our soil.
